Professional licenses are needed for businesses that require qualifications to be in operation.  

Businesses in the health care, cosmetology, accounting and contracting industries may need a professional license to operate in South Carolina.  

Agencies including the South Carolina Department of Enviornmental Services, South Carolina Department of Public Health, and South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation provide professional licenses for business owners.
